Revenue Accountant

Job Summary: The Revenue Accountant will provide technical expertise, manage and optimize accounting processes, ensure accurate and timely preparation of the analysis and distribution of financial reports to cross-functional stakeholders, document procedures to ensure both accurate and timely reporting of company income and revenue streams, and ensure compliance with all accounting standards and best practices. Local candidates only, this position is located at our corporate office.

In This Role, You Will :

• Manage the billing of product sales and related revenue accounting for multiple products.
• Develop a good understanding of sales contracts and related commercial terms.
• Bill revenue and reimbursable expenses to third parties on behalf of Arcanum Infrastructure and all its entities.
• Coordinate the monthly intercompany billing and respective settlement.
• Assist with actual revenue vs. budget variance analysis, including all pricing and volume variances as a part of the monthly and year-end closing procedures.
• Manage and oversee accounts receivable, including keeping aging current and leading collections efforts as required.
• Manage general ledger account reconciliations are completed, discrepancies investigated, propose adjustments to the Director of Finance, and ensure all en tries are properly recorded in a timely manner.
• Organize and m aintain the proper documentation required to support the annual financial audit; gather data and account information, assist with preparation process.
• Assist the Director of Finance and Accounting with cash flow projections.
• Promote and monitor the integrity and standardization of accounting data to increase the effectiveness of analytical tools used in accounting and financial reporting.
• Participate in the ongoing implementation of accounting policies and the development of ERP system enhancements and upgrades.
• Become a subject matter expert in the Sage X3 ERP accounting & finance module and promote the development of best practices for financial transaction processes.
• Prepare quarterly superfund tax data and related Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 720 subsequent filings and comply with all federal regulatory requirements.
• Diligently adhere to and fulfill all Responsible Care ®requirements, demonstrate a steadfast commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and ethical practices in all aspects of your position within the organization.

• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and enterprise resource software systems, proficiency in Sage X3 preferred.
• Ba chelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in professional accounting, data analysis, and process improvement in the corporate chemical or industrial manufacturing sector with multiple legal entities.
• Cost accounting experience and extensive understanding of general acceptable accounting principles (GAAP) and revenue recognition standards.
• Experience working with ERP systems with confidence (e.g. Sage X3, NetSuite, Oracle).
• Previous revenue accounting experience in chemical manufacturing or the manufacturing sector preferred.
