Retail & Event Associate - CR Smith Museum
Job Responsibilities:
- Support Museum Store operations, including POS transactions, merchandising, and inventory restocking
- Fulfill in-person, telephone, and e-commerce orders and complete daily sales reports
- Welcome and assist Museum visitors; answer questions and support interactive exhibits and simulators
- Serve as on-site host for private facility rental events, ensuring smooth event execution
- Greet and assist guests, vendors, caterers, and service providers during events
- Monitor events to protect Museum property and ensure safety and security compliance
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with clients, planners, vendors, and facility management
- Make event announcements and operate the Museum movie
- Maintain clean, organized exhibit spaces, furniture, and simulators; report maintenance needs
Skills:
- Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and cash/credit card handling
- Retail inventory management and merchandising
- Customer service and guest engagement
- Event operations and on-site coordination
- E-commerce and telephone order fulfillment
- Basic reporting and record keeping
- Facility safety and security awareness
