Concrete Foreman
Join C & M Concrete, a family-owned business established in 1978, which is a trusted leader in the production of precast concrete products and on-site commercial concrete construction in and around Kerrville, TX. We are a dedicated team specializing in commercial concrete construction projects. As a Concrete Foreman, you will play a key leadership role, overseeing crews and ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, ADA requirements, and city codes. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including slabs on grade, sidewalks, paving, grading, and curb and gutter installations. Travel opportunities and per diem are available for out-of-town assignments. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a concrete crew on active commercial construction sites.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, ADA requirements, and local/city codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, grading plans, utility plans, and construction drawings.
- Coordinate daily construction activities, including excavation, formwork, concrete placement, finishing, and curing.
- Operate and oversee the use of heavy equipment such as skid loaders, excavators, loaders, and rollers as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain project schedules and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and assist with scheduling, crew coordination, and material planning.
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards; conduct safety meetings and daily site inspections.
- Maintain quality control throughout all phases of construction.
- Troubleshoot field issues and adapt to changing site conditions while maintaining productivity and workmanship.
- Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation regarding project progress.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising concrete, heavy civil, or commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of ADA compliance requirements and city/public works construction standards.
- Experience with sidewalks, curb and gutter, paving, slab on grade, and site concrete work.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and grade stakes.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and managing field crews.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and safe construction practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Bilingual skills are preferred but not required
Compensation
$25/hr – $28/hr based on experience.
