Garage Helper

POSITION GOAL:
- Responsible for custodial duties including washing, sweeping, scrubbing, and detailing buses; servicing bus restrooms; cleaning vehicle upholstery; maintaining shop area and exterior lot; and moving parts within the shop (excluding coach movement).
Physical Activity/Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
- Perform repetitive tasks involving bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Physical capability to climb ladders, work on elevated surfaces, and access confined spaces.
- Skilled in using hands and arms for tool handling and precise equipment operation.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work on concrete for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Visual and hearing acuity to read diagnostic information and detect vehicle sounds.
- Work in environments with noise, vibrations, dust, fumes, and temperature changes.
- Comfortable wearing PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots for long durations.
- Physically and mentally able to follow safety procedures and handle equipment safely.
