As part of this strategic transformation, we are looking for a results-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to streamline operations, enhance cross-functional execution, and help shape the firm's long-term structure.

Role Summary

The COO will be responsible for managing and optimizing day-to-day operations, ensuring operational excellence across trading support, middle office, technology, compliance, and HR. You will work directly with the CEO and executive team to drive operational efficiency, talent retention, and business scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all non-trading operations including trade operations, compliance, riskand HR
• Drive business processes to support the firms trading goals and strategic initiatives
• Implement operational frameworks, KPIs, and internal controls
• Collaborate with the trading desk and risk functions to ensure accurate reporting and settlement flow
• Build and scale systems and infrastructure to support higher trading volumes and geographic expansion
• Manage cross-departmental project execution with a focus on automation and performance
• Develop and monitor operational risk policies and procedures in collaboration with legal and compliance
• Mentor and lead operational leaders and functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required (MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred)
• 10+ years total experience with 5+ years in an energy trading firm,with exposure to energy trading
• Strong grasp of ISO/RTO operations and market structures
• Experience managing back/middle office operations, compliance, and system implementations
• Demonstrated success in scaling company operations through process, systems, and people
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-informed decisions at speed
