Senior Product Owner
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Product Manager to join our Gravitate product team. With Gravitate, we’re on an unapologetic mission to deliver a weightless experience: one that’s faster and smoother, and propels our customers through supply and logistics challenges. And it’s all backed by world-class support and a sincere commitment to a long-term partnership. By bringing the right people together with the right software, Gravitate gives decision-makers the power to make better supply and logistics assessments.
This person will primarily focus on our Supply and Dispatch solution, which is an AI-integrated optimization and dispatch solution powering supply and logistics decisions in the retail fuel industry. You will work within a collaborative environment that values innovative, market-led solutions, developed using Agile methodologies. This role is centered on the execution of defined strategies and maintaining strong relationships with customers at all organizational levels.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in the software industry, with 3+ years specifically in a Product Management or Product Owner role.
- SaaS Expertise: Proven experience working within a SaaS (Software as a Service) environment.
- SDLC Mastery: Comprehensive understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and in-depth knowledge of Agile principles.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to interact with and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization, from technical teams to C-suite executives.
- Strategy Execution: Proven track record of executing defined product strategies by translating market needs into actionable development items, from ideation through execution.
- Backlog Management: Strong experience fine-tuning epics, defining user stories, and managing the prioritization of a team backlog.
- Customer-Centric: A customer-first mindset with a track record of partnering closely with clients to deliver high-value solutions on time.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to or experience within the fuel, supply, and logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Execution: Drive the execution of defined product strategies, ensuring all development aligns with the overarching product vision.
- Customer Engagement: Act as a secondary point of contact for customers, facilitating high-level communication and ensuring their needs are reflected in product delivery.
- Product Evangelism: Evangelize product releases to customers and internal support/delivery teams.
- Outcome Delivery: Ensure product releases achieve intended outcomes and features effectively meet customer needs.
- Requirement Definition: Translate roadmap features into well-defined requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
- Roadblock Mitigation: Actively mitigate roadblocks that might impact the on-time completion of release or sprint goals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with scrum and development teams to ensure all development objectives are met.
- Design Leadership: Lead the product functionality design process based on a deep understanding of user and client needs.
- Demos & Product Documentation: Lead product demos for internal and external audiences, while also creating and maintaining product documentation.
About the Gravitate team:
To understand who our people are, you should first understand what they’re not: replaceable. Each member of the team is chosen carefully and with intention. We believe that finding the right fit is more important than a laundry list of credentials – and that people are people first, and titles second.
Because we hire the Gravitate way, our team is certainly one of a kind. We’ve brought together incredible talent that regularly collaborates to create clean, fresh solutions. That effort has led to remarkable opportunities, including work with many Fortune 500 clients. We’ve found that the winning combination of exciting achievements, trust in one another and open communication lays the groundwork for long-lasting, successful careers. That, and the fact that we clap for each other at every opportunity. Problem solvers, go-getters and charge-takers - we (really) want to hear from you.
