Position Summary:
The Receiving Lead at Winsupply Austin Tx Co plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory and warehouse operations. This position is responsible for the accurate counting, identifying, documenting, and storage of all incoming materials, as well as maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. The Receiving Lead works closely with warehouse staff, the Purchasing Manager, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Comply with all established inventory receiving procedures.
• Inspect all incoming shipments, document shortages, overages, damages, or discrepancies, and obtain carrier signatures.
• Identify damaged freight and communicate issues to the credit department.
• Direct the proper handling and placement of materials into storage locations.
• Coordinate with product departments for the disposition of special orders.
• Understand and use internal systems (e.g., WISE) to track and resolve errors and exceptions.
• Pre-plan receipt of shipments to ensure efficient labor and equipment usage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, bin-located warehouse and yard.
• Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager on inventory needs and fill rate gaps.
• Monitor and minimize obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating outgoing deliveries as needed.
• Serve as a backup delivery driver when all others are dispatched.
• Pull, tag, and palletize customer job (tag-and-hold) orders.
• Supervise and support receiving/warehouse team members.
• Oversee maintenance and inspections for all fleet vehicles and forklifts.
• Recount and reconcile daily cycle counts to maintain target inventory accuracy.
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement solutions for continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to quickly learn organizational procedures and WISE inventory systems.
• Proficient in using warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
• Able to identify and correct common administrative errors.
• Team player who works well under pressure and with a variety of personalities.
• Must demonstrate a history of professionalism and reliability.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer keyboard and mouse.
• Manual dexterity to operate warehouse tools and equipment.
• Safely lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds.
