OTR HazMat Company driver (W-2) Job in McAllen, TX by HMD Trucking

Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• Hazmat endorsement
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Working from McAllen, TX, this OTR solo driver role covers nationwide HAZMAT freight, emphasizing safe handling, regulatory compliance, and reliable deliveries.

Role overview:

• Operate late-model company tractors equipped with APUs, inverters, and sleepers on long-haul assignments.
• Follow HAZMAT and DOT procedures, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate hauling documentation.
• Liaise with dispatch and utilize in-house maintenance for equipment uptime.

Minimums & compensation:

• Must hold a CDL-A and have at least 12 months of experience.
• Pay starts at 65 CPM + an additional 4 CPM on HAZMAT; expect ~2,500 miles weekly, full benefits, and performance bonuses.
