Job Title: Senior Analyst, Data Governance

Location-Type: Hybrid (Houston, TX – onsite Tues–Thurs, remote Mon/Fri)

Start Date Is: ASAP

Duration: 6-month contract with potential to extend

Compensation Range: $45/hr – $55/hr

Job Description:
Drive the implementation of data governance best practices and tools within a federated enterprise environment, focusing on Atlan and SharePoint.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Lead data catalog implementation and Atlan pilot initiatives

• Act as an advisor across business units to assess and improve data governance maturity

• Manage and maintain the Data Governance SharePoint site

• Conduct interviews and workshops on data governance frameworks

• Develop policies, standards, and documentation to support enterprise-wide data governance

• Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance data literacy, quality, discovery, and management

Requirements:

• Must-Haves:

  • 5–7 years in data governance roles

  • Hands-on experience with Atlan or similar data catalog tool

  • Experience managing SharePoint for data governance

  • Strong understanding of data governance pillars: literacy, discovery, management, quality

  • Ability to develop and implement standards and policies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong initiative and ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in a federated data governance model

  • Enterprise-level background
