Registered Nurse Job Details – Berlin, VT

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
• Location: Berlin, Vermont 05602 (central Vermont healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D), Women and Child
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: January 19, 2026
• Duration: 18 weeks (extension possible)
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts/week (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2590 - $2660 per week
• On-Site Position
• Float Required: Yes, to other Women’s and Children’s units
• Call: Required (2 x 12-hour shifts in a rolling 4-week period)
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Holiday Coverage: Must work 2 of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Vermont or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) and LDRP experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• ACLS, PALS (or PEARS), and STABLE certifications preferred
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
• Experience as a baby nurse at delivery, including neonatal resuscitation, APGAR scoring, and administering newborn medications
• COVID-19 vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not available)
• Vehicle must have all-season or snow tires November–April

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in the L&D unit
• Float to other Women’s and Children’s units as needed
• Participate in on-call shifts and work every other weekend as scheduled
• Assist with deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, and immediate newborn care
• Assign APGAR scores and administer newborn medications post-delivery
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and state/federal healthcare regulations
