This faculty psychologist position will involve teaching and supervision of psychology interns in our APA- approved internship program, as well as post-doctoral fellows. The Division of Psychology within the Department of Pediatrics includes more than 60 pediatric, clinical, and neuropsychologists practicing across subspecialty areas at Texas Children’s Hospital, providing care in both the inpatient and outpatient environments. BCM, our academic home, is also home to outstanding psychology training programs at the graduate, internship, and postdoctoral levels.

Summary

Texas Children’s Hospital /Baylor College of Medicine Psychology Division is recruiting a Child and Adolescent Psychologist for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank, with a clinician educator focus. The psychologist in this position will partner with Division leadership to grow an outpatient Disruptive Behavior Disorders Program.

The psychologist in this role will work with typically developing children and adolescents presenting for assessment and treatment of ADHD and disruptive behavior disorders, both with and without medical illness. Consultation with multidisciplinary medical providers and learners will be expected. Expertise in differential diagnosis, Parent Management Training, and family-based interventions is essential. Opportunities for innovation, program development, and clinical research are built into this position.

Minimum Qualifications

• A doctorate in clinical, counseling, or school psychology with a specialization in child clinical psychology
• Completed both an APA-accredited psychology internship and postdoctoral training in child clinical psychology
• Licensure or license-eligibility in Texas
