Addison Group is partnered with a specialized healthcare facility seeking an experienced Full-Cycle Billing Specialist . This team handles hospital billing and is known for being collaborative, outgoing, and highly supportive. They are seeking someone who enjoys working closely with a team and managing accounts from start to finish.

Job Description:

The Full-Cycle Billing Specialist will manage full-cycle hospital billing and collections, including charge entry, claim submission, edits, denials, appeals, and follow-up. This is a hands-on, highly manual billing environment that requires strong investigative skills and knowledge of hospital reimbursement methods such as DRG, contracts, and single-case agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter inpatient charges, verify authorizations, and submit both electronic and paper claims.
• Review and resolve initial rejections, claim edits, and billing discrepancies.
• Conduct collections activities through payor portals and phone calls.
• Check claim status, research denials, prepare reconsideration requests, and write appeal letters.
• Utilize legacy Meditech or similar hospital billing systems to manage accounts.
• Collaborate closely with a tight-knit, outgoing team on complex account resolution.

Qualifications:

• Hospital billing and collections experience required.
• Experience with charge entry, authorizations, electronic/paper claims, rejections, and edits.
• Strong collections background including denial investigation and writing appeals.
• Experience working with DRG-based claims, contract-based reimbursement, and single-case agreements.
• Prior Meditech or older hospital system experience preferred (Epic also acceptable).
• Ability to thrive in a manual, detail-driven billing process.
• Outgoing, communicative personality preferred — team culture is highly collaborative.

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm (Flexible Hours)
  • Hybrid work schedule following a 90-day onsite training period (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
