- Duration: 13-week contract
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts; days, nights, and on-call coverage
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field (or equivalent experience/education)
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical laboratory experience or hospital internship
- Current national certification: Medical Technologist (ASCP), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (AMT), or equivalent
- Expertise in laboratory testing, including CLIA high complexity testing
- Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) and clinical lab equipment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and resolve technical issues
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (traveler policy)
- Perform all levels of laboratory testing, including high complexity tests, for patients of all ages
- Evaluate, interpret, and verify accuracy of test results
- Troubleshoot technical problems and resolve inconsistencies in patient results
- Provide expertise in microbiology, transfusion medicine, molecular biology, and infectious disease safety
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment; ensure quality control and compliance with regulatory standards
- Write and update laboratory procedures; participate in quality improvement and regulatory inspections
- Train and mentor new staff and laboratory students
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
- Participate in continuing education to maintain professional competency
- Support overall laboratory operations as assigned
