Location: Plano, Texas (On-site, 5 days/week)

$150-175K + Bonus + Benefits (medical, dental, vision)

A well-established financial institution is seeking a Vice President of Application to lead enterprise-level support for mission-critical banking systems. This is a greenfield opportunity ideal for a decisive, technically strong leader with deep banking experience and a passion for building scalable, resilient support operations.

Key Focus Areas

• Lead L1–L3 support for core banking, digital, and enterprise applications
• Drive monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis
• Implement SLAs, escalation protocols, and post-release validations
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure to improve uptime and stability
• Manage third-party vendors and support compliance with regulatory frameworks
• Oversee support tooling and observability platforms (Splunk, AppDynamics, etc.)
• Build and mentor a high-performing application support team

Requirements

• 8+ years in application support leadership (banking experience required)
• Proven experience with production support in regulated environments
• Familiarity with tools like Splunk , AppDynamics , ServiceNow , and PagerDuty
• Strong understanding of FFIEC guidelines, ITIL, and escalation practices
• Demonstrated leadership in hiring, performance management, and team growth
• Bachelor’s in IT or related field (MBA a plus)
