Ruckus Networks a CommScope BU is looking for a Principal Devops Engineer to join our team in Richardson, TX.

How You'll help us connect the world:

• Maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization

• Orchestrating Kubernetes clusters, including monitoring using Prometheus and Grafana.

• Perform GKE cluster and Istio service mesh upgrade with no downtime in multi region environment.

• Develop automation scripts to perform releases, build verification and upgrade notification using Python, SQL, Docker and Go lang.

• Develop, test and deploy automation systems including Jenkins, Terraform, and Python/bash scripts to configure networks, security, policies, virtual machines, disk, storage buckets and Kubernetes clusters.

• Provide documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure

• Responsible for capacity, and storage planning

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field.

• 10+ years of database, network administration, or system administration experience

• System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus

• Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent.

• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols

• Experience with scripting and automation tools

• A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans

• Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols .

Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. This position's expected total compensation (base salary and commission range) is $118,800.00-$153,300.00

The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company's Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
