Accountant II

Specific Responsibilities

The Accountant II role for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s accounting organization and reporting to the Marketing Accounting Manager. This role will primarily be responsible for the following:

• Perform Marketing Accounting functions related to Apache’s domestic oil and gas properties.
• Actualize oil, gas, and ngl volumes marketed by Apache in the Endur system for the purpose of integrating pricing and deduct data to the Revenue department.
• Perform Settlements functions including invoicing, interface with counterparties, and ensure timely payment for gas, oil and ngl sales and purchases.
• Responsible for payment of transportation and cashout invoices for assigned pipelines and plants.
• Responsible for Accounts Receivable and other Balance Sheet account reconciliations.
• Performs work with a high degree of latitude and the ability to appropriately prioritize assigned tasks.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet critical monthly deadlines.
• Will interface and facilitate communication with multiple groups both internal and external to Apache Corporation.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting; other business degree will be considered when combined with a minimum of 12 completed accounting hours.
• 3-5 years of professional accounting or auditing experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word.
• Knowledge and experience in SAP and Endur a plus.
• Able to work well in a team setting with consistent and professional interactions and approachability with team members.
• Possesses strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, administrative, and organizational abilities.
