Remote Sales and Customer Success Specialist (1099 Independent Contractor)

We are MaidThis Cleaning of San Antonio and the surrounding area. We serve homeowners, Airbnb hosts, and commercial offices, and we are growing fast. This role grows with us. As the business scales, so does the responsibility, the earning potential, and the opportunity to take on more. **What this role actually looks like**
This is a full-time remote 1099 Independent Contractor position, Tuesday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. You will be a direct representative of our voice and brand, and a lot of how customers feel about MaidThis starts with you.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and driven to get results without being managed every step of the way. You see a lead come in and you move on it. You see a gap in the follow-up and you close it. You do not wait to be told what needs to happen because you already see it. That kind of ownership is what this role needs and what we reward.
**The Day to Day**
**Sales and Lead Management**
* Jump on every inbound lead fast (Speed to Lead!) and return calls, texts, emails promptly
* Run confident, engaging sales conversations that feel helpful and natural
* Walk leads through our pricing and services in plain simple terms
* Follow a smart follow-up cadence using calls, texts, and emails
* Ask for the booking and close with confidence
**Client Experience**
* Check in with customers after their clean to confirm satisfaction and ask for reviews
* Handle scheduling changes, reschedules, and customer questions as they come up
* Send prep instructions and confirm any special requests or add-ons
* Manage smaller issues in real time and escalate anything bigger with clear notes
**Keeping Things Organized**
* Log accurate notes in our CRM on every lead, quote, follow-up, and outcome (We use GoHighLevel and Launch27)
* Keep the pipeline clean and current so nothing slips through the cracks
* Help refine scripts, talk tracks, and quick-reply templates over time
**Who we are looking for**
We want someone who is proactive, friendly, and genuinely energetic on the phone. Not the kind of energy that feels fake or rehearsed, the kind where a customer hangs up feeling like they just talked to someone who actually cared about helping them. They should feel like they connected with a real person, not a representative reading bullet points off a screen.
You know how to move a conversation forward without forcing it. You ask the right questions, you listen, and when it is time to close you do it with confidence and not pressure. Being proactive means you are already thinking two steps ahead, following up before someone has to ask, and making it easy for people to say yes. Being not pushy means you respect the customer enough to let the conversation do the work.
A year or more of sales or phone-based customer experience is ideal. You should be fluent in English (spoken and written), reliable, and someone who follows through without needing to be chased down.
You will need your own setup at home. A reliable computer, a smartphone for calls and texts, a noise-canceling headset, solid internet webcam, and a quiet spot to work from. A backup plan for internet outages is smart to have too.
**Growth and pay**
Starting pay is $440 biweekly as a 1099 Independent Contractor. We are being upfront that commissions are not part of the package at this stage, but this is by design. We are building the structure right so that when commissions come online they are meaningful, not just a token add-on. As revenue grows, pay tiers increase and the earning potential grows with it. The people who come in now and help drive that growth are the ones positioned to benefit the most.
This is not a dead-end role. We want someone who wants to move up, take on more responsibility, and grow their income alongside the business.
**Other things**
Fully remote with fixed core hours so your schedule stays predictable. You will have clear playbooks, talk tracks, and templates to work from so you are never just winging it. We give re al feedback and we keep it straightforward. As we grow there will be leadership opportunities and bonus structures on top of the commission path.
