Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for an Auto Body Shop Manager to take on and be responsible for the following, while maintaining the efficiency, profitability and reputation of our body shop’s daily operations:
- Oversee the quality, timeliness and manner in which repair services are performed and delivered
- Create a cohesive team with a positive attitude that includes all body shop employees
- Hire, train, motivate and monitor the performance of all technicians and body shop employees
- Optimize customer value and profitability
- Direct and schedule activities of all technicians
- Regularly monitor actual performance and determine reasons for variance
- Schedule repair work and assign it to technicians with matching skill levels
- Ensure that repairs are assigned to technicians in a consistently objective manner
- Provide technical support for, supervise, and assist technicians as needed
- Ensure that all repair work is done correctly and in an acceptable time frame
- Maintain awareness of current and projected market conditions
- Keep abreast of all federal, state, and local regulations that affect operations
- Develop & implement appropriate strategies and programs as necessary to attain the dealership’s shop objectives
- Reach and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
- Maintain existing relationships with customers
- Coordinate resolution of customer complaints keeping customer satisfaction and department profitability in mind
- Comply with and enforce all Safety policies and procedures at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned
To Qualify for this Position:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an auto body repair facility
- Working knowledge of body repair methods
- 3-5 years of managerial experience
- Excellent communication, managerial, and problem-solving skills including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills to meet changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional and dependable
- Safety and customer service focused
- Strong computer and internet skills
