Position: Lease Admin and Collections Specialist (Part-Time)

RecNation RV & Boat Storage acquires, builds and manages specialized RV and Boat storage facilities across the United States. The company was founded to meet the burgeoning storage requirements of the owners of recreational and marine vehicles. The company caters to the needs of the outdoor enthusiast by providing highly secure and professionally maintained facilities that provide superior customer service.
Job Role Summary:
The Lease Admin and Collections Specialist is responsible for the handling of lease integrations and accounts receivable inquiries and communication with owners and members on their account balances and discrepancies, including collection of past due balances. The individual's primary focus will be to support the Finance Team's lease administration and monthly collections cycle. RecNation is seeking an organized, quality-focused, and energetic individual to join our Finance Team to assume a Lease Admin and Collections role and fulfill other administrative responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the Integration team to send Lease documents for new site acquisitions
- Assist with outbound customer calls to obtain updated payment information for new site acquisitions
- Make outbound integration calls and send follow-up correspondence (e.g. email/text messages, letters, etc.) for outstanding leases
- Make outbound collection calls and receive inbound collection calls from customers on past due accounts
- Work with the Customer Success team to resolve customer disputes; create and revise invoices and credit memos as needed
- Manage billing correspondence, including telephone calls and emails on all payment inquiries
- Monitor customer payment databases daily for current receivable status
- Process late fees in accordance with lease provisions in all operating jurisdictions
- Maintain consistent collection efforts and updated collection notes/correspondence
- Distribute notices to vacate and notices of claim for delinquent tenants
- Initiate and oversee lock-out and overlock procedures with Facilities Maintenance
- Manage and execute procedures for towing, abandonment, eviction and foreclosure
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of standard self-storage lease provisions for every operating jurisdiction
- Process CC/ACH/check payments
- Prepare weekly collections report and assist in collection of aged receivables
- Other assigned duties may include periodic special projects and duties may be assigned based on Company needs and requirements with tight deadlines
Skills:
- 1-2 years of experience working with a high volume of collections
- Experience in real estate and lease administration preferred
- Proficiency in credit/cash collections
- Proven knowledge of Consumer Collections
- Prior experience using accounting software
- Effectively analyze customer accounts make decisions based on said analysis
- Ability to work, adapt and adjust in a constantly changing and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computer use including relevant software applications such as SiteLink (Property Management System), Google Workspace (G Suite), including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive and Google Sheets, etc.
Education or Certification Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience required
- BS/BA in Accounting preferred
Schedule:
- 4-6-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Physical and Mental Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone and keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
Work Environment:
- Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
