: Position Title Manager, Media Relations and Strategic Communications Department Recruitment & Outreach Campus Central Campus Location Central Campus FLSA Exempt Full Time/Part Time Full Time Summary of Position The Manager, Media Relations and Strategic Communications is responsible for communicating CTC's message to the members of the community, locally and worldwide, with primary responsibility for Central Campus internal and external information. This is a highly visible position. Minimum Required Education Bachelor's degree from a nationally or regionally accredited institution of higher education in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field required. Minimum Required Experience Minimum five years of previous media relations/public relations/communications-related experience with a portfolio of work demonstrating skills in these areas. Three years of supervisory experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and working knowledge of desktop publishing/graphic design software.
• Ability to develop communication strategies aligned organizational goals and objectives.
• Knowledge of media relation protocols, including managing press inquiries and building relationships with journalists and media outlets.
• Understanding of key communication theories, crisis communication strategies, and message framing techniques.
• Expertise in utilizing social media platforms to amplify messaging and engage with audiences.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Ability to lead and manage a team, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and fostering collaboration.
• Effective problem-solving skills to address communication challenges and identify solutions.
• Ability to develop and manage communications during crisis situations.
• Ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with cross-function teams.
• Professional appearance and attention to detail are required.

Salary 1G/Per Salaried Pay Scale Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - M-Thurs. 7:30 am-5:30 pm; Friday 7:30-11:30 am Other Information Availability for weekend and/or evening events required.
