Quality Manager/Chief Inspector
Description:
The Quality Manager is responsible for performing inspections of products, aircraft systems, equipment, and components to ensure compliance with FAA, NAVAIR, and company standards, while recording quality results and overseeing Inspectors as applicable. This role ensures all technical data and Repair Station documentation remain current, including process specifications, manufacturer manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and related data. Responsibilities include inspecting installations, repairs, structural and electrical modifications, maintaining quality manuals, performing receiving and component inspections, interpreting blueprints, and supporting regulatory compliance within a Repair Station environment.

#Education & Job Requirements
*High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
*A minimum of 10 years of experience in the aviation industry.
*A&P license.
*Inspection Authorization (IA) Certificate.
*Must have a valid driver's license.
*Working knowledge of AS9100 and AS9110 Quality Management System standards.
*Working knowledge of FOD and Tool Control, Technical Orders (T.O.), TCTO's, FAA FARs, and Aircraft Maintenance Information Systems.
*Able to use inspection measuring devices as well as the use of a mirror and flashlight to accomplish inspections.
*Ability to pass a background check.
*Participation in the DOT drug and alcohol screening program.
*Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

#Job Duties & Functions
*Ensure all technical data used by the Repair Station is secured and current with the latest revisions
*Perform inspections of aircraft systems, equipment, and parts for operational conformity and regulatory compliance.
*Inspect installation, repair, and operation of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil, emergency, and structural systems.
*Inspect structural and electrical repairs or modifications in accordance with applicable Technical Orders, work orders, and manuals.
*Maintain the Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, and Training Manual
*Perform receiving inspections on raw materials and purchased parts.
*Perform machined parts inspections, weld inspections, and electrical inspections
*Interpret blueprints and apply shop mathematics.
*Record quality results and oversee Inspectors as applicable.

*Work performed inside a hangar and outside in all weather conditions with direct contact around moving and non-moving aircraft.
*Exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery.
*Ability to work in confined spaces such as fuel tanks.
*Ability to climb, kneel, stoop, stand, and sit for extended periods.
*Frequent lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds and occasional pushing or pulling up to 100 pounds.
