Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently during service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations and equipment.
- Monitor food stock and place orders as necessary to avoid shortages.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to meet service times and quality standards.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage.
- Assist in menu planning and development by providing input on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role in a restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for culinary arts.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
