HR Generalist

Job Title : HR Generalist

Location: Houston, TX

Pay: $60,000 - $70,000 / Year

Benefits: This position is eligible for Medical, PTO, and 401 (k) benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding.
• Maintain employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files.
• Administer benefits, leave programs, and payroll-related changes.
• Advise employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
• Support performance management, corrective actions, and workplace investigations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Assist with HR reporting, employee engagement initiatives, training, and process improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality and provide exceptional employee support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of Human Resources experience.
• Workday experience required.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee relations.
• Experience with HRIS and employee record management.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.

Preferred:

• SHRM-CP, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR certification.
• Experience in multi-site or fast-paced organizations.
• Experience with employee engagement, compliance, training, or HR process improvement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems.
