Software Engineer – Data

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Data Platform team at Living Security. This role is ideal for candidates with robust technical expertise across multiple domains and substantial experience building large-scale, data-driven enterprise software solutions in the cloud. You will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation and ongoing advancement of data-driven products, contributing significantly to our mission to transform human risk management.


Responsibilities:

  • Engage in data modeling to align new and existing data sources with Living Security’s data architecture.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists to ensure data ingestion processes effectively support business needs.
  • Optimize and maintain data processing infrastructure to guarantee reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • Evaluate and propose innovative technologies that enhance data processing capabilities and solve complex customer data challenges.
  • Build robust integrations to retrieve and process data from various security products via third-party APIs.
  • Monitor and manage data processing pipelines, ensuring continuous availability, accuracy, and security.
  • Directly influence product direction and strategy, contributing to impactful customer solutions.


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional experience building large-scale data processing pipelines for production environments.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of data engineering concepts, best practices, and a keen interest in the rapidly evolving landscape of data technologies.
  • Proficiency in Python, with demonstrable hands-on coding experience.
  • Solid expertise in SQL and relational databases; PostgreSQL experience is highly beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly Athena, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Step Functions, and Glue, is advantageous.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate successfully in cross-functional team environments.
  • Familiarity with modern data integration tools such as Airflow and DBT is beneficial.
