LPAC Clerk
This document describes the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties that may be assigned or skills that may be required. Primary Purpose:
Provide clerical support to the Bilingual/EB Administrator and provide support to Campus Administrators on the execution of LPAC guidelines and processes to identify, place, review, reclassify and monitor English Learners.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Bilingual Required
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient in personal computer use, file maintenance, and email communication Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing documents Ability to meet established deadlines in a multitasking environment Effective organizational, customer service and interpersonal skills
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Monitor district's student enrollment to maintain campuses are on track with the identification and placement of possible EL students.
Provide support to Multilingual Services Administrator and campus LPAC administrators on LPAC processes.
Assist the Multilingual Services Department in maintaining the district's LPAC documentation.
Participate in the administration of identification and reclassification EL testing.
Attend campus LPAC meetings.
Participate in all district LPAC team meetings or trainings.
Communicate with parents when needed

Tools/Equipment Used: Multi-line phone system; standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
