Job Title: Special Projects PM/Estimator

Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 (Depending on experience)
Location: DFW
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Senior Project Manager / Operations Manager

Position Summary:

The Special Projects PM/Estimator will be responsible for estimating and managing electrical construction projects ranging from $1 million to $2 million . This role is ideal for a junior PM or assistant PM looking to grow into full project management responsibilities. You will be involved in the full project lifecycle —from bid preparation through execution and closeout—with a strong focus on smaller, fast-paced jobs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for special projects

• Develop detailed project scopes, budgets, and timelines

• Manage day-to-day operations of assigned projects

• Coordinate with field staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients

• Conduct job site visits to ensure work is progressing according to schedule and budget

• Maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders

• Forecast labor and material costs and monitor job profitability

• Support purchasing and procurement of materials

• Assist in project closeouts and final documentation

• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in electrical construction (project management, estimating, or both)

• Familiarity with projects in the $1M–$2M range

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction methods

• Experience with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, McCormick) preferred

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

• Self-starter who is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• OSHA 30 certification

• Previous field experience in electrical trade a plus
