Compensation & Schedule
• $31.00 per hour
• Monday–Friday between 8:30 AM– 9 PM (Until work is completed)

Role Impact
The Accounting Coordinator mission is to deliver an elevated employee benefits experience through precision, accountability, and operational excellence. As part of a team that challenges the status quo in benefits consulting, this role ensures accurate premium processing, commission tracking, and financial reconciliation that directly supports customized client solutions. Success means protecting financial integrity, strengthening carrier relationships, and enabling the team to focus on designing innovative, client-centered benefit strategies.

Key Responsibilities
• Process and reconcile employee benefits premium payments, carrier invoices, and client receivables
• Review and track commission statements to ensure accurate revenue recognition
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations to maintain clean, audit-ready financial records
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting activities
• Partner with account management and service teams to research billing discrepancies and resolve financial issues efficiently
• Maintain organized documentation that supports compliance and internal controls

Minimum Qualifications
• 2+ years of accounting support experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, spreadsheets, data organization)
• Strong attention to detail with ability to manage deadlines and high-volume workloads

Core Tools & Systems
• Microsoft Excel
• Accounting or ERP systems (general ledger, billing, reconciliation modules)
• Agency Management Systems (AMS) or employee benefits administration platforms
• Microsoft Outlook and shared financial documentation systems

Preferred Skills
• Experience in employee benefits, insurance brokerage, or consulting environments
• Understanding of premium billing, carrier reconciliation, and commission structures
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
