Your impact

We are looking for a Fire Protection Engineering intern to join our Federal Services team in Dallas, TX. This is a hybrid role with the expectation to work from our Dallas offiec at least 3 days per week.

As an intern with our team you will work alongside a robust staff of experienced and licensed Fire Protection Engineers to develop and use your skills and experience to deliver and complete challenging and engaging buildings projects across many different s and North American locations.

You will be working on the design and production of fire sprinkler systems, special hazards suppression systems, fire pumps, fire alarm and mass notification, and building/life safety codes analysis under the guidance of a knowledgeable team of experienced Fire Protection Engineers. Previous design experience is a plus, but we train employees on the job to learn and develop these skills so please do not self-select yourself out of a position and all that are interested in a career in fire protection engineering are encouraged to apply.

Here's what you'll need

• Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Safety Technology or closely related degree
• At least two years of college level coursework completed
• United States Citizenship

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• 3.0 GPA
• Working knowledge of Revit and/or Autocad
• Previous engineering design internship

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

40,000.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

60,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $40,000.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
