About the Role

Addison Group is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our client’s team in a healthcare setting. This position is responsible for managing the full revenue cycle process, including billing, claims processing, payment posting, and collections.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate claims to insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers.
• Review patient accounts for accuracy and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit as needed.
• Post payments from insurance companies and patients; reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing statements and assist with payment plans.
• Manage accounts receivable and follow up on overdue accounts while maintaining positive patient relationships.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of billing activities, payments, and communications.
• Collaborate with internal teams and participate in meetings to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in medical accounts receivable, insurance appeals, and refunds.
• Experience with insurance claims processing, payment posting, and collections.
• Coding experience is a plus; ophthalmology coding experience is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
• Reliable transportation required.
