We have been engaged by a 500+ bed Level 1 Center in Texas to recruit for them a Director of Case Management. This hospital is part of a much larger parent company with over thirty hospitals nationwide. This system includes Academic Medical Centers, over 4,000 licensed beds, and $4 Billion dollars in revenue. I have placed with this system several times and can tell you all about their growth opportunities (they plan to DOUBLE in size in the next decade), mission, and values!
This role is responsible for the overall direction and daily operations of case management, social work, and care transition services in the hospital. The Director will lead efforts to ensure efficient use of hospital resources, drive timely and appropriate patient throughput, and partner closely with revenue cycle teams to support denial prevention and accurate reimbursement. A strong understanding of regulatory requirements is essential to ensure full compliance with all state and federal guidelines related to case management. This person will report to the hospital CFO, who is described as a collaborative, outcomes-driven leader.
Requirements:
- RN, Associates degree in nursing or higher OR Social Work degree, BSW or higher, mandatory.
- 5 or more years’ experience in acute hospital-based case management, mandatory.
- 3 or more years’ experience in acute hospital-based case management leadership, mandatory.
- Certification in case management (ACM or CCM), preferred.
