POSITION SUMMARY

The Scheduler is responsible for ensuring proper shift coverage for all inpatient Nursing staff . Uses knowledge of patient census and staff/patient ratio to ensure that each shift is properly staffed . Follows up on mispunches , PTO requests, and accounts for staff on various types of leaves.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of previous scheduling experience is required . One-year experience in a mental health facility is preferred . Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other basic computer skills . Excellent interpersonal/communication skills . Excellent telephone skills (calls and texts) required .

Additional Requirements: Familiarity with computerized scheduling is highly preferred; especially ShiftHound .
