Position Overview: We are looking for a proactive Account Manager with proven prospecting and business development skills to join our team. The responsibilities for this position include identifying sales opportunities for AV system integration and managed services within data centers and commercial spaces, and specifically in corporate, educational, medical, and municipal markets across the Southeastern United States. As an Account Manager you will act as a primary point of contact for clients. You will build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with key client contacts, always striving to add value and find the best solutions for the client's needs. A successful Account manager will retain business, cross-sell additional solutions/services and ensure complete customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate must utilize a consultative, solution-based sales approach, complete all required administrative work in a timely fashion and follow established sales processes.
To succeed in this position, candidates should have exceptional communication, computer, and problem-solving skills. You should be resourceful, adaptable, and organized with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Primary Essential Job Duties:
- Demonstrate strategic selling principles encompassing prospecting, identifying customer needs, and clearly articulating value, pipeline development, deal management, milestone attainment and closing.
- Communicate and articulate the value of M3 Technology Group's products and services and negotiate effectively.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Develop and implement efficient and effective business plans with the sales vice president and identify and close sales opportunities.
- Achieve or exceed our monthly and annual sales goals.
- Manage your schedule. Excellent time management skills and the ability to independently use judgment to prioritize and plan are critical.
- Possess strong inter-personal communication and relationship skills, specifically relating to stress management, people management, and conflict resolution.
- Cultivate new business. Establish and develop business relationships leading to design/bid opportunities. You will also be cold calling and following up on company generated leads.
- Develop and deliver accurate and timely, technical sales proposals, which employ standardized brand and services presentation.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure that systems are configured with the proper
- Maintain, grow, and update relevant, accurate and current data within CRM database
- Foster collaborative working relationships with others involved in the sales, service, marketing, product development and installation processes.
- Continually build a network and develop additional sales channel contacts. This may include participation in seminars and trade shows at the local and national level.
- Participate and actively contribute to sales meetings, training seminars, and coaching activities, as requested by the sales manager.
- Pursue industry trends, new technology, and professional growth and education.
- Work cooperatively with others.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strategic, consultative, and/or solutions-oriented sales experience with both C-level executives and end-users is a plus.
- Exceptional oral and written communication and presentations skills
- Excellent active listening skills
- Consistent record of owning goals and surpassing them
- Ability to interpret customers' business needs and match the appropriate solutions.
- Self-motivated and appreciates a team environment
- Prior commercial AV system sales experience (video conferencing, digital signage, distributed video/sound, presentation systems) is a plus
- Prior low-voltage systems sales experience (CCTV, nurse call, fire alarm, burglar alarm, etc.) is a plus
- 3-5 years of demonstrated, exceptional sales experience.
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred.
