Building Engineer
Commercial Building Engineer (Contract)
Location: Downtown Dallas
Duration: 3–6 Month Contract
Pay: $32.00–$34.00 per hour (DOE)
Seeking a Commercial Building Engineer to support a commercial office building in Downtown Dallas for a 3–6 month contract assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily operational activities to ensure reliability of building systems.
- Maintain and repair mechanical systems including DDC and pneumatic controls, plumbing, electrical systems, access controls, and fire/life safety systems.
- Complete general building maintenance and repairs such as lighting, ceilings, doors and hardware, flooring, garages, and parking areas.
- Maintain accurate departmental records and documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to service calls.
- Support construction and tenant improvement projects by reviewing documentation, performing system checks, and assisting with inspections.
- Collaborate with Property Management on operations, inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations.
- Deliver excellent customer service to tenants and partners.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial office building maintenance experience.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.
