ER RN Job Details – Pasadena, TX

• Location: Pasadena, Texas 77504 (Greater Houston Area)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (25 beds)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 15, 2025 – December 15, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680-$1730
• Patient Ratio: 4:1 to 5:1
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current certifications: TNCC, ENPC, PALS, ACLS, BLS, CPI/TIC
• Strong clinical skills in critical care and teamwork
• BSN or higher nursing degree preferred
• CEN or additional nursing certifications a plus

ER RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a busy Emergency Department setting
• Perform and assist with advanced procedures: thoracotomy, arterial line and CVP readings, ultrasound IV placement, target temperature management
• Administer and titrate critical care medication drips
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including RNs, EMTs, and unit secretaries
• Utilize advanced clinical equipment: rapid infusers, vein finders, TTM machines, and more
• Document patient care using ED Medi-tech EMR system
• Participate in weekend rotation as required
• Maintain compliance with trauma, sepsis, STEMI, stroke, and behavioral health protocols
