The Position

Our bank client is seeking a fill a Sr. Commercial Credit Analyst role in the San Antonio, TX area. The selected candidate will be analyzing, formatting, and communicating information on new and existing loans to identify credit risks. The candidate will also provide underwriting support to the commercial lending function.

This position offers a competitive salary of up to $75K and a full benefits package.

Sr. Commercial Credit Analyst responsibilities include:

• Preparing credit approval requests, debt and deposit recaps, financial spreadsheets, cash flow analysis, written memorandums, etc. to relay information to senior management in a timely manner.
• Analyzing personal and business financial information as well as entity ownership structures to understand the creditworthiness of proposed loans.
• Assisting loan officers in gathering and relaying information between the Bank and its customers.
• Making recommendations to appropriate personnel on the granting or denying of loans.
• Preparing sufficient information to document recommendations, if assigned to a lending function.
• Ensuring that all credit analysis activities are conducted in accordance with prescribed lending policy.
• Providing thorough documentation of all financial analysis work, including ratios, cash flow, and collateral analysis, and other related information.
• All other duties assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, preferably with a Finance or Accounting major with at least four semesters of accounting coursework.
• Two or more years’ experience in the credit department of a bank.
• Must be familiar with practices common in this field, including spreading of various types of financial statements and an understanding of cash flow analysis, with a minimum of two years’ experience.
• Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work under time constraints, and good interpersonal skills.
• Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills are required.
