Location: Northeast Houston, TX
Pay: $17.00 per hour (Weekly Pay)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:45 PM – 1:30 AM
Overtime: Available

Position Overview
Openwork is seeking a dependable Packaging Specialist to support operations at a leading metals manufacturing facility in Northeast Houston. This position plays a key role in preparing products for shipment with accuracy, care, and adherence to safety standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and are looking for a stable, long-term role in manufacturing.

Core Responsibilities:

• Package finished materials in accordance with detailed work instructions.
• Operate packaging equipment including banding, strapping, and shrink-wrap systems.
• Build and secure pallets for domestic and international shipments.
• Verify measurements and weights using appropriate tools.
• Accurately measure materials using a tape measure.
• Operate a forklift to transport and stage materials.
• Perform quality checks to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years of manufacturing or industrial experience.
• 2+ years of experience with packaging equipment and material handling.
• Strong attention to detail and measuring skills.
• Ability to follow structured processes and instructions.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds and work in a physically active role.
• Dependable and safety-conscious.

Safety and Compliance Requirements:

• Must be clean-shaven to ensure proper respirator fit.
• Must be able to wear a respirator for extended periods.
• Must be willing to shower after each shift per safety guidelines.
• Must successfully pass background and drug screenings.
