Venue Manager | General Manager
Temp to Hire; up to $32 hour based on experience

**Ideal candidate will LOVE sales in addition to operations and ensuring successful events
**Hospitality or Hotel events experience A MUST
Duties:
- Manage sales and operational activities to maximize revenue and gross profits, deliver a positive guest experience, and create a team atmosphere that promotes learning and excellence
- Manage budgets and financial plans, and control expenditures
- Oversee event operations, ensure overall guest satisfaction, and ensure compliance with brand standards
- Maintain statistical and financial records; achieve sales and profit targets
- Recruit, train, and monitor staff; plan work schedules for individuals and teams
- Meet and greet customers; support with customer complaints and comments; address problems and troubleshoot
- Ensure events and conferences run smoothly
- Supervise maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings; partner with suppliers; carry out inspections of property and services
- Sell events that are business in nature to include engaging with clients seeking to host events at venue, implementing proactive sales activities to create business, and use social media, referrals, and existing clientele for business growth
- Own accountability for timely and accurate preparation/delivery of contracts, proposals, and follow-up activities to capture business
- Detail, execute, and oversee events, with mindfulness to ensure each event hosted is accurate and successful
- Ensure event execution surpasses client expectations; commit to a timely response to client requests and assisting clients in the decision-making process ranging from room setup to appropriate food choices; partner with onsite staff in all tasks needed to manage an executive level meeting and events venue
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or similar HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a PLUS
- Strong computer and technical skills including Microsoft Office Suite and event technology (ability to set up/troubleshoot audiovisual equipment, from sound systems to projection units)
- Upbeat, proactive, and motivated leader with sincere interest in each client and participant on site; hands-on approach and strong work ethic
- Act as Manager on Duty for all events; mentor and lead 2 part-time support team members; minimum 2 years in a leadership role
- Stellar communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and passion for developing, maintaining, and growing client relationships
- Financially savvy with strong ability to manage goals, invoicing, and financial operations

- Health Insurance and PTO; compensation includes a targeted gross profit bonus plan
- Additional compensation includes a targeted gross profit bonus plan.
- M-F, 8am to 5pm; evenings and weekends as needed
