SHIPPING/RECEIVING SUPERVISOR
Job description
BILINGUAL SHIPPING AND RECEIVING SUPERVISOR position available at an ~40,000sf non-climate controlled manufacturing warehouse with approx. 30 employees producing polyurethane parts from raw materials. This position will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the parts trimming department, collaborating with QC & Machining, Shipping and Receiving, and maintaining parts and consumable inventories. This position will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring timely and accurate outbound customer shipments and receiving inbound vendor materials while supervising a team of 10 employees or less. The qualifying candidate must be able to complete all work delegated in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
JOB DUTIES:
Supervise 10 or less employees within the Shipping/Receiving dept.
Assign work to Parts Trimmers and Shipping/Receiving depts. as needed
Assist in ensuring parts are moving through all Shipping/Receiving departments’ efficiently; Machine shop, trimming, QC
Ensure accurate and timely shipments to customers
Review shipping schedules/due dates to ensure deadlines are met
Count, label, and package parts securely for shipments
Count, verify, and inspect incoming shipments from vendors
Distribute received materials to appropriate departments in Warehouse
Maintain adequate levels of inventory, shipping supplies, and other warehouse supplies
Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
Enforce and follow safety policies
REQUIREMENTS:
2+ yrs Shipping and Receiving experience
2+ yrs Supervisor experience preferred
Bilingual Required (English/Spanish)
Forklift experience a plus
Lift/Carry up to 50 lbs
Walk, Stand, Stoop, Bend for 8-10 hours/day
Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse
Work well in a team environment
Good communication
Follow company guidelines & procedures
Attentive to detail
Excellent Attendance a must
Reliable transportation
High School diploma or equivalent
Pre-employment drug and background screening
HOURS:
Monday – Thursday: 6:45am to 5:30pm
Friday: As needed – Must be available to work Friday
30 minute lunch and two 15 minute breaks at 10:00am & 3:00pm
40 hrs – Plus potential overtime
