Job Description :

Administrative Medical Assistant

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous/professional manner.
• Answer telephone promptly and direct calls accordingly.
• Maintenance and routing of electronic patient documents.
• Fulfillment of Medical Records requests.
• Outbound patient calls, quality metrics, patient satisfaction, hospital follow-ups, monthly patient check-ins.
• Assist with referrals and prior authorizations.
• Medical Assistant Float - rooming patients, vitals, chart prep, injections
• Front Office Float - Check In/Out, Insurance Verification.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

• Exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette
• Demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills
• Medical Assistant, Front Desk and Referral experience
• Familiarity with patient management and clinical software systems (eClinicalWorks)
• Detailed organizational skills
• Experience working in a collaborative environment
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word/Excel/SharePoint/PowerPoint)
• Ability to connect with patients and make them feel comfortable
• Patience and presence of mind

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• May require prolonged period of standing, walking and bending
• Ability to move/lift up to 20 pounds at time
• Must be able to move/assist with moving patients

Job Type : Full-time

Salary : $19.00 - $21.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
