Quarry Administrative Assistant

Alamo Concrete Products Company, ACP, is headquartered in San Antonio, TX with 8 Divisions throughout the Greater Central/South Texas Region. ACP produces and delivers concrete and operates Aggregate Quarries that supply concrete batch plants.

The San Antonio Division is seeking a Quarry Administrative Assistant to provide support to the Quarry Manager in daily operations. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for maintaining daily operations paperwork, generating reports, assisting with human resources forms, and conducting orientation for new employees.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assure all work is performed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations, company policy, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and handle sensitive employee information.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
• Effectively communicating with team members, and other staff regarding maintenance needs and completed work.
• Order parts and supplies for quarry operations. Assure proper parts and supplies inventories are met.
• Pickup and deliveries.
• Supply gas to onsite vehicles using assigned vehicle.

Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to maintenance work.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other staff.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Prior experience in data entry is required
• Strong attention to detail is essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding time-management abilities
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures preferred
