Lead

Akkodis is seeking a Lead for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX. This role leads to the delivery of complex microservices solutions while guiding a team of developers across design, build, and integration activities.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Lead job responsibilities include:

• Lead a team of 5–6 developers, providing technical direction, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining code quality across all microservices projects.

• Architect, design, and develop Java/Spring Boot microservices, ensuring scalability, high availability, and adherence to design patterns and best practices.

• Build and integrate cloud native solutions using AWS, Docker, EKS, Kubernetes, and implement messaging workflows with Kafka.

• Oversee development across API integrations, MuleSoft gateways, REST/SOAP services, and coordinate backend–UI integration efforts.

• Ensure strong engineering standards through unit testing (JUnit), debugging, performance tuning, and CI/CD automation using Git, Jenkins, and JIRA.

• Collaborate with stakeholders, enforce Agile practices, and provide leadership across cross functional teams to drive delivery and technical excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 9–12+ years of experience in software development with significant time spent in technical leadership roles.

• Strong hands‑on expertise in Java, Spring Boot microservices, AWS, Docker/EKS, and Kafka, with proven experience leading end‑to‑end cloud‑native solution delivery.

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams while driving high‑quality development across API integrations, microservice architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and secure application design (OAuth/SSO).

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
