Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee and coordinate the maintenance operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a comprehensive understanding of maintenance management, including mechanical and electrical systems. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure the reliability and efficiency of all equipment and systems, while also managing a team of maintenance professionals.

Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all maintenance activities, including mechanical, electrical and facility related repairs.
• Develop and implement a preventive and predictive maintenance program to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Ensure timely response and resolution of equipment breakdowns to minimize production disruptions.
• Maintain and update maintenance records, logs and documentation.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Supervise, train and develop a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies for facilities management, focusing on preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and equipment history.
• Oversee the operation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and implement solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on schematics, mechanical knowledge, and industrial maintenance practices.
• Manage projects related to facility upgrades or repairs, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards related to maintenance and facility operations.
• Support audits and documentation requirements for ISO certifications.
• Identify and implement cost-savings initiatives, process improvements and energy efficiency programs.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing and TMP (Total Productive Maintenance) principles to drive operational excellence.
• Foster a culture of safety by enforcing compliance with safety regulations and conducting training sessions for staff.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Maintenance Manager Qualifications:

• Proven experience in management or supervisory roles within a maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high voltage), mechanical systems, and industrial maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their applications in manufacturing settings.
• Proficient in using CMMS for tracking maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, OSHA regulations, and safety best practices.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams effectively.
• Strong project management skills with a focus on achieving operational goals.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and situations.
• Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of the plant.
• Experience working with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools is preferred.
