Assistant to the CEO Community Engagement

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is looking for a high level Executive Administrative Assistant to support the CEO and other leadership team members. In this role you will provide key administrative functions and logistical support for executive leadership. Perform a wide range of responsibilities involving confidential information. Work independently, exercising considerable judgment and discretion in completing assignments. Starting Salary range $55,000 - $67,000 based on experience.
Some of the Essential Duties include: 1. Managing and maintaining CEO's daily activities and calendar, schedule meetings and teleconferences, and completes travel arrangements; applies strategy, tactics, and diplomacy to managing the CEO's calendar, while minimizing conflicts. 2. Planning and coordinating internal and external meetings, events, and travel arrangements with consistency and attention to detail for members of Goodwill's Executive Leadership. 3. Representing the CEO in meetings and committees and participates in meetings, trainings, and cross department teams as assigned by CEO. 4. Managing, prioritizing, and monitoring communications and visitors for the CEO. 5. Preparing and typing confidential correspondence, reports and proofread materials for accuracy, consistency, and clarity. 6. Serving as a Goodwill “ambassador” spokesperson to VIP visitors providing tours and information promotion and communicating the organization's mission, purpose, services, programs and brand.
Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance
- High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree in business or a related field preferred.
- 5 Years' experience in a related field required.
- No professional certifications are required for this position.
- Valid state driver's license, insurance and satisfactory driving record are required.
- Associates in this position will be required to successfully pass both state and federal criminal background checks and sex offender check.
- Ability to operate PC and databases, proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
