RN PRN Med-Surg - Days or Nights
- Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork in managing patient flow, promoting timely patient placement by following hospital policy for admission, discharge, and transfer.
- Participates in peer interviewing and peer review processes.
- Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services.
- Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives.
- Conducts initial patient assessments within expected timeframes, initiate consults as indicated, and identify patient/family teaching and discharge planning needs. Maintains safe practice by demonstrating unit-specific clinical competency and compliance with all regulatory standards.
