About Our Practice:

We are a fast-paced, patient-focused dental practice seeking an experienced Dental Insurance Biller / A/R Specialist to join our growing team. This role is critical to the financial health of the practice and requires strong knowledge of dental insurance, exceptional organization, and the ability to multitask efficiently.

Position Overview:

The Dental Biller/Ager is responsible for managing insurance claims, accounts receivable, and follow-ups while ensuring maximum reimbursement and timely collections. This position works closely with the front office and clinical team and must be detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage insurance claims from submission to payment resolution.
• Perform consistent and effective A/R aging follow-up.
• Post insurance payments and adjustments accurately.
• Review and interpret EOBs and resolve claim discrepancies.
• Handle appeals, denials, and underpayments.
• Verify insurance benefits and understand coverage nuances.
• Communicate professionally with insurance carriers and internal team.
• Maintain clean, accurate patient accounts.
• Meet and exceed monthly collection and aging goals.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of dental office experience (required).
• Open Dental software experience (required).
• Strong understanding of dental insurance plans, including PPOs, coordination of benefits, downgrades, limitations, and exclusions.
• Proven experience in insurance aging and collections.
• Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
