Role: Software Engineer 2

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

Role Overview
Performs advanced programming to develop software solutions by studying user needs, systems flow, data usage, and processes. Investigates problems; designs/implements solutions via specifications and programming.

Client focus: writes/tests/debugs/documents complex client/server/web apps using C# (.NET), Blazor, SQL. Designs front/back-end with HTML5, CSS, C# .NET Blazor, SQL/Stored Procs, Oracle/SQL Server. Extensive DevExpress experience (advanced grids for interactive UIs); creates new stored procedures compatible with existing ones for Texas licensing systems. Supports TDA apps via problem diagnosis/maintenance using Visual Studio 2022, .NET Core 9.0.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, test, debug, document complex programs (client/server/web) in C# (.NET), Blazor, SQL.
• Design/develop specialized programs for front/back-end web apps (HTML5, CSS, C# .NET Blazor, SQL/Stored Procs, Oracle/SQL Server, DevExpress).
• Collaborate with analysts/architects/business teams to gather/validate requirements and model solutions.
• Support TDA apps: diagnose problems, implement changes for current maintenance.
• Research/analyze for program enhancements; perform root cause analysis/resolution.
• Recommend application development process improvements.
• Participate in SDLC tasks with Agile team collaboration.
• Present software change demonstrations for customer approval.

Education : Bachelor's degree or higher.

Required Experience :

• 4+ years web-based software application development.
• 4+ years root cause analysis/resolution.
• 4+ years programming (.NET, HTML/HTML5, ASP, Java/JSP, .NET/C#, SQL/stored procs, UI tech).
• 4+ years web programming (.NET/C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL/Stored Procs, Oracle/SQL Server).
• 3+ years Agile SDLC methodology.
• 3+ years team-based SDLC tasks.
• 3+ years intra-team collaboration for requirements/development/maintenance.
• 3+ years in-person software change demonstrations for approval.
• 2+ years Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.
• 1+ years C# .NET Blazor programming.

Preferred Experience :

• 4+ years porting Java codebases to C# .NET Blazor.
• 4+ years responsive web design practices/implementation.
• 4+ years Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) knowledge/implementation.
• Previous TDA systems experience.
