Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position requiring CVOR experience and Epic proficiency, working a Tuesday–Friday day shift schedule.

Details

• General Surgery OR unit within a hospital setting
• Primary focus on cardiovascular (open-heart) cases with the ability to support general OR as needed
• Epic EMR — experience required
• 4x10-hour shifts, Tuesday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or a compact state currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care utilizing the full nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Responsible for administering medications and treatments per protocol and monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Provides patient and family education, identifying relevant issues and resources
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to offer
