Peri-Anesthesia Nurse, DFW - Peds - 3-4 days/week
Job Description
Job Description
Ambulatory Anesthesia Care has created a safe, effective, and financially viable office-based anesthesia model that has been replicated throughout the country. We are proud to be expanding our office-based anesthesia services in the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex. We are looking for a skilled and talented Pediatric Perianesthesia RN to join our office-based anesthesia practice, supporting pre/intra/post-op care for our pediatric patient population across our DFW office-based anesthesia facilities.
If you have a heart for pediatric patients and enjoy working alongside an anesthesia and surgical team while setting the example in delivering safe, quality care — this position is for you! All nursing care is conveniently provided during standard surgeon business hours, Monday through Friday — with no evenings, Sundays, or holidays!
Bilingual candidates, especially Spanish-speaking, are highly encouraged to apply.
The Pediatric Perianesthesia nurse will be responsible for the pre-operative assessment and care of the pediatric patient, including intra-operative care and post-operative/recovery care. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the pharmacy and supplies, safely handling all equipment, and participating in quality performance improvement activities. From time to time, we may have you assist with completing pre-operative patient assessments via our secure patient portal.
Position Requirements
- Graduate degree from an accredited RN program with active RN licensure in the state of TX
- A minimum of 3 years of critical care experience (PICU, pediatric ER, NICU, or PACU); pediatric experience strongly preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
- Comfort and confidence caring for pediatric patients in an office-based setting
- Reliable transportation and willingness to drive to client locations
