At CAF Management, Painters play a key role in keeping our apartment communities looking fresh, clean, and move-in ready. From apartment turns to common area touch-ups, you’ll help maintain the quality and curb appeal our residents expect—while supporting the maintenance team with light general repairs as needed.

This role is ideal for someone with painting experience who takes pride in clean lines, attention to detail, and consistent quality—and wants to grow with a company that promotes from within.

What You’ll Do

• Paint vacant apartments, occupied units (as needed), and common areas
• Prep surfaces including patching drywall, sanding, caulking, and priming
• Match paint colors and finishes to property standards
• Perform touch-ups and detailed paint work during apartment turns
• Assist with light general maintenance tasks as needed (minor repairs, hardware replacement, basic carpentry support)
• Support curb appeal projects and community refresh initiatives
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly store tools and materials
• Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager regarding timelines and supply needs
• Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally, and in compliance with Fair Housing standards

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Required:

• Hands-on painting experience in apartments, residential, or commercial settings
• Knowledge of surface prep, rolling, brushing, and spray techniques
• Strong attention to detail and pride in finished work
• Ability to manage time efficiently and meet turn deadlines
• Availability to work Saturdays (closed Sundays) and maintain a flexible weekday schedule
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred:

• Experience with apartment make-readies or renovations
• Basic maintenance or handyman experience
• Familiarity with Entrata or similar property management systems
• Bilingual abilities

Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent physical labor and movement throughout the apartment community. Team members must be able to safely perform the following tasks:

• Bend/stoop/squat/kneel (e.g., prep work, painting, patching)
• Climb stairs and ladders (e.g., ceilings, stairwells, multi-story buildings)
• Push/pull, stand, and walk (e.g., moving supplies, ladders, equipment)
• Reach above shoulders (e.g., walls, ceilings, trim work)
• Grasp/grip/turn and use finger dexterity (e.g., brushes, rollers, tools)
