This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families through our online chat platform. As a Chat Support Associate, you will be the first point of contact for individuals seeking information about our services, scheduling appointments, or needing assistance with their healthcare inquiries. Your ability to communicate effectively and empathize with patients will help create a positive experience for them, especially during challenging times. In this position, you will utilize your knowledge of healthcare services to navigate conversations while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the assistance they need promptly. About the Job
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide support via online chat in a timely manner.
- Assist patients in navigating the hospital's services and resources effectively.
- Schedule appointments and follow up with patients regarding their queries.
- Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve patient issues quickly and efficiently.
- Document patient interactions accurately in the hospital's system for future reference.
- Stay informed about services, policies, and procedures to provide accurate information to patients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in customer service or support roles, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Strong empathy and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and their families.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple chat conversations simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using chat support software and other digital communication tools.
- Flexible availability to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
